Vince Zampella, Has Passed Away in an LA Vehicle Accident

The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in Los Angeles, California at the age of 55.

His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.

The renowned game designer died after his automobile collided and caught fire on a motorway in the Los Angeles area on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.

"We are facing an unimaginable loss, and our deepest sympathies go to his family and friends, his family, and the countless individuals inspired by his legacy," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
